St James’s Church in Biddenham will hold its annual All Souls’ Day service this November to commemorate the faithful departed. The afternoon service, held on Sunday 1st November at 4pm, provides local residents with a quiet space to remember family members and friends who have died.
During the service, the names of those who passed away in the preceding year—alongside long-remembered loved ones—will be read aloud as part of the Commemoration Roll. Attendees will also be invited to light a candle in memory of those they have lost. The service includes traditional hymns, readings, and choral music.
Organised by the parish ministry team serving Biddenham and Great Denham, the event forms a core part of the church’s local pastoral support. Refreshments will be served afterwards in the Church Barn, offering attendees a chance to talk and connect.
