The annual Songs of Praise service will take place at St. James’ church, 4.30 pm, on Sun 18 Sept, hosted again by Community Ministers, David and Suzette Maguire. The sign-up sheet for this will be at the back of church for the four Sundays in August: please sign up & add your special ‘song of praise’ to the running order on the day.

Table+: Community Ministers, David and Suzette, are hosting the first of these events in their home (39 Broad Mead Avenue, Great Denham, MK40 4SA) on Sun 21 Aug, 7.30-9pm. Those coming along are invited to bring some ‘nibbles’ to share. Format: 30-45 mins of socialising; then a short time of ‘sharing’ about what is going on in their ministry and the two parishes; 30-45 mins of prayer. Transforming communities

As well as non-perishable food the Bedford Food Bank are currently particularly in need of tinned sponge puddings, biscuits, multi-purpose cleaning spray and washing powder.  Last month they helped 435 people, 163 of these were children. Thank you Ann Morrish

All Saints Natter Club: Thurs 18 Aug from 2-5pm in All Saints Church Hall, Kempston.  All are welcome for drinks, cakes and a natter. £1 for refreshments, plus £1 for raffle ticket. Guest speaker: Sheila Phillips with dog Chester from charity Canine Partners Vikki Clarke (843669)

Coffee Morning at 26 The Elms on Thurs 11 Aug 10 -12noon. All proceeds towards the All Saints windows repairs.  Anita (857212)

All Saints & St James outing. I am gauging interest for a possible church group booking for go karting in MK; men & ladies; also your family &/or friends; aged 16+ for driving but any age for spectating. Please text me if this might interest you. John Richards 07732 971783.

An opportunity for All Saints: David and Suzette are running three ‘Come & Play’ sessions during August at Daisy Hill Children’s Centre, and they are wondering if anyone from All Saints would be willing to come along for an hour (10-11am) to prepare snack and make drinks, freeing Suzette up to chat with the families that come along. St James Churchyard Work Party. We should be grateful for your help on Sat 10 Sept, 9.30-1pm when we will be tidying, clearing and cutting in the Churchyard. Do join us and have some chat and coffee too!
