Licensing ceremony for Rev Eric Lomax – Tues 31 Jan, 7.30pm at All Saints. We look forward to welcoming Rev Lomax to All Saints and St James:
—Numbers: There are lists to sign in both churches to give us some idea of how many people we can expect. It would also help with the catering if you let us know if you are NOT staying after the service. We hope as many people as possible will attend the evening.
—Parking: As there is limited car parking available and only in the main car park at All Saints the organising committee suggest that people arrive early (not later than 7pm), to allow time to park and where possible arrange to share lifts.
—Transport: When you sign could you indicate if you are prepared to offer transport or if you need to have a lift.
—Contacts: For All Saints: Alan Lowe (857212) and for St. James: Sue Squire (342373)

St James Churchwardens – As mentioned last week, after many years of dedicated service, Laurie Hurn will not seek re-election in April.  Edwin is happy to continue assuming replacement(s) can be found. We can have two churchwardens and up to three Deputy Church Wardens (so the role can be shared). The role(s) are not too onerous and can be tailored to fit around other commitments. Churchwardens provide an invaluable link between congregation and clergy – without this it is difficult for a church to function effectively.  Please consider carefully whether this is something you might be able to do.  For more information or to express an interest, please speak to either Edwin Martin or Laurie.
All Saints Lunch Club, Wed 15 Feb 12.30pm at The Half Moon.  Everyone welcome, for details contact Anita Lowe (857212)
St James Roast Lunch, Sun 5 Feb at 1pm in the Church Barn, Tickets cost £13 with a complimentary glass of wine. Raffle.  Please sign the list at the back of the Church or contact Sue Squire (342373).

St James Churchyard: With the grass-cutting season approaching we are looking for volunteers to join a rota to cut the grass in front of the Church. This is probably for 2/3 times during the mowing season, usually on a Saturday if possible. Please contact Laurie Hurn (364251).
