Fundraising Committee
The Fund Raising Committee of St. James's Church have worked very hard over the year, in an effort to not only raise funds to keep the Church going, but also to add to the community spirit by having events that Biddenham residents can enjoy.
Over the year we have had a Bingo Evening, Lenten Lunch, Quiz Night, BBQ, Edwardian Evening, and our annual Christmas Bazaar. Before the Bazaar we had several working parties, and under Val Fitzhugh's watchful eye made Christmas decorations. We also invested in a venture which produced tea towels, and bags printed with images of the church and village.
These, added to the tombola, cakes and preserves and many other items raised the amazing total of £1770.84, and brought our total for the year to £3220.45p. I would like to thank everyone who has worked so hard over the year, and invested both time and money to achieve this wonderful total.
However, we don't intend to rest on our laurels, and - starting with the supper in the village hall in January - we have events planned for February, March, June, July and September - so watch this space.
