Explorers

Have you got children aged 3-8?

Would they like to come along to our Sunday School, Explorers for sessions packed with games, acting and an awful lot of making - all along Christian themes.

Every term we make huge and colourful displays for the Church Barn. Recent examples included a giant stable complete with the Holy Family, Joseph and his coat of many colours and a massive pancake being tossed above a roaring fire to mark Shrove Tuesday.

Each Christmas the children perform a nativity to a packed congregation.Sessions last roughly 50 minutes after which children go into church for the tail end of the service, in time for their own blessing and to tell the congregation what they have been up to. Then it's back to the Church Barn for juice, biscuits and hometime.

We meet every Sunday in termtime in the Church Barn at 9am except for Family Services on the first Sunday of every month when children take over the sermon slot, do the readings, lead the main prayers and do the collection.

Group leaders CRB checked. Parents welcome to stay or go as they please and children are welcome to attend regularly or occasionally. For further details contact Kate Smith on 365278.
