St James men’s group at 15 Church End Biddenham. Next month (Fri 10 Mar) we will be inviting Duncan Goldthorpe to think with us about whether all this talk actually means something in real everyday life. Edwin Martin (348718)

St James PCC Membership/Deanery Synod Representation – At the annual meeting in April, we will need to elect four PCC members and two Deanery Synod representatives.  If you are interested in either position, or would like more information, please speak to Jacqui Piper

St James Churchyard: With the grass-cutting season approaching we are looking for volunteers to join a rota to cut the grass in front of the Church. This is probably for 2/3 times during the mowing season, usually on a Saturday if possible. Please contact Laurie Hurn (364251).

Friends of St James ‘Antiques and Auctions’, Fri 17 Mar, 7pm for 7.30pm start, in Church Barn.  Auctioneer Lester Day tells us about his work, values items you bring and runs a quiz where you do the valuations!  Welcome drink and light snacks.  Tickets £10 (£7 for members of The Friends of St James) from Diana Shooter (213305) or Laurie Hurn (364251).  In aid of The Friends of St James.

St James Roast Lunch – A big thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make the Roast Lunch last Sunday such a success. Thank you too for supporting it; you company was appreciated. Thanks to your generosity we made £603 for church funds. Sue Squire
