Table+ meets in David and Suzette Maguire’s  home for fellowship, food, discussion and prayer, to support them in their pioneer work – just bring along some nibbles to share. Sun 20 Nov, 7.30 pm, at 39 Broad Mead Avenue, Great Denham. Looking forward to welcoming you.

The licensing ceremony for Rev Eric Lomax is planned for Tues 31 Jan 2017. This will be at All Saints Church at 7.30pm.

St James Men’s Group will resume Fri 18 Nov at 15 Church End with Rev Paul Boulter, curate at Christchurch who has led our services several times in the vacancy. He will talk about how he was brought up, why he gave up a career in the House of Commons to train as a vicar and what his aims are in life. The evening starts with a pint and a meal followed by our discussion with Paul. All men are welcome.  If you are coming please let Edwin know (348718) or edandpete@hotmail.com for catering purposes.

Diocesan Pilgrimage: Rome and Assisi, 11–18 Sept 2017 led by Canon Dennis Stamps. There is a meeting on Mon 21 Nov, 7.15pm at St Albans Diocesan Office Holywell Lodge, 41 Holywell Hill, St Albans, AL1 1HE.

St James Christmas cards with views of Biddenham for sale again this year.  5 cards for £3 and 10 cards for £5. They will be in church each Sunday or contact Sue Squire (342373) or Jacqui Piper (356993) to order them.

Concert by “Heart and Music” Sat 19 Nov,  7.30pm in St James’s Church. A light, uplifting mix of music, songs and poetry from a local choir, in aid of The Friends of St James and The Friends of Biddenham Village Pond to celebrate 30 years of the restored pond. Followed by special refreshments in the Barn. Tickets £10 (£7 for members) from Diana Shooter (213305) or Peter Leverkus (353662).

St James Christmas Bazaar Sat 3 Dec, Village Hall 2 -4.30pm. We need your help please: Bottles for bottle stall – in box at back of church or to the Smiths 50 Main Road; Food for the Produce stall – Anne Church (214805); Volunteer help for an hour or so on – Sue Squire (342373)
