Bedford 1st Carnival in Queens Park

DaisyBiddenham residents came to support the first ever carnival in Queens Park and the rain was not going to deter the hard work of the Queens Park Community Orchard and other organizations. The vision of community spirit came through on a muggy Saturday 13/06/15 and a few summery showers in Queens Park.  People from every part of the world and religious backgrounds came together and supported the community that truly deserve to be mentioned in their effort of inclusiveness thanks to the Queens Park Community Orchard. Bedfordshire Community Awards team were delighted to take park in this historic event and we also had our first presentation of the awards at the Gurdwara where the performances from different schools, organizations and speeches from dignitaries took place. Beds on Sunday covered the event on the paper and online. Daisy Smith was one of the recipient of the Bedfordshire Community Awards for her contribution in helping out with the explorers at St James church.  Daisy is a joy to be around and Biddenham is proud to have her fly it’s flag. Bedfordshire Community will be presenting some awards at Biddenham Show, there’s still time to nominate someone or organisation by logging into beds-ca.org
